Terms and Conditions of Sale - Calgary, Vancouver
Prices
This price list supersedes all past lists. Prices are NET-FOB our warehouse, excluding taxes, and are in effect as of February 25, 2026. Prices terms, conditions, and specifications are those in effect at the time of shipment and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include any tax.
Order Acceptance
While Tierra Sol does everything possible to meet delivery requirements, orders can only be accepted subject to delays caused by strikes, accidents, delivery dates set by suppliers, or by any unforeseen reasons.
Possession of this price list, samples, or a price quotation does not obligate Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. to sell its materials to anyone. All quotes, written or otherwise, are subject to our review and acceptance at time of placing the order.
All special orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit at time of order. There is no guarantee of shade or caliber. Balances are due on delivery, or due according to terms set for established account customers.
Sale of discontinued material is final without guarantee of shade or calibre uniformity.
All prepaid or delivered orders are subject to a Fuel and Carbon Tax Surcharge (FSC) of 2.0% of the total invoice value. Please note that this applies only to delivered orders, not collect or pick‐up.
Any materials that are transferred in from another branch by customer request must be picked up or a 25% restocking fee will be charged.
Payment Terms
Terms are Cash-On-Delivery or, for established accounts, NET 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Overdue accounts are subject to interest charges of 2% per month (24% annually).
Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. reserves the right to cancel credit privileges at any time. Customers whose account fall 60 days past due will have all credit privileges suspended until their account is completely paid in full.
Freight Claims
Delivery to carrier constitutes delivery to buyer regardless of FOB point or whether freight is collect or prepaid.
Claims of damage, loss, delay or shortage must be delivered to the carrier by the customer.
Claims of order shortage must be directed to Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. within ten days of shipment.

Goods Return process and conditions
- Obtain a return authorization number by contacting Tierra Sol Returns at [email protected] or calling Customer Service
- Request for Return must be sent within 30 days from date of purchase
- Material must be returned properly wrapped and shipped prepaid within 30 days of the request.
- Discontinued products, sale items, special orders, remnant packages or irregular goods cannot be returned.
GESCO Ceramic Slab A‐frame / Crate Deposit Policy
- To ensure safe and secure transportation, and to reduce damage of ceramic slabs, GESCO ships large ceramic slab product secured to wooden A‐frames or in wooden crates.
- On any order of less than 25 slabs (per shipment), the customer is required to pay a fully refundable deposit of $1000. This would be added to order as an item line to the order.
- 100% of the deposit to be returned to customer upon the return of an Aframe / wooden crate. Return freight to original shipping/pickup location is the customer’s responsibility.
- To request a goods return authorization number for an A‐frame / wooden crate, please contact our Goods Return Department by sending an email to [email protected], provide the original or reference number to ensure refund eligibility.
- Upon return to the original shipping/pickup location, a credit on the customers account will be issued within 7 days. A‐frame / wooden crates deemed by Gesco to be unusable due to damage or other will not be refunded.
Product Claims
Please verify that your order confirmation is correct. Variations in shade, colour, and size are inherent of all burnt clay materials, and glazed tile is subject to crazing, and are not grounds for claim once installed. Furthermore, variations in shade, size and finish can vary from a previous shipment or from sample boards Tierra Sol may have previously distributed.
Of rectangular tile, Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. does not recommend a 50-50 brick pattern, nor will we accept any claims pertaining to this.
Of glass and stone mosaics, testing the installation technique, grouting and finishing, cutting, checking squareness of the sheets, and generally being fully aware of the characteristics of the mosaics being installed and the setting materials being used is required prior to commencing the job. Small chips, shade variations, size variations, and mounting squareness are all expected and normal characteristics of mosaics and are not considered grounds for claim.
No guarantee is made against wear. All tile will scratch and wear and it should be expected in areas of heavy traffic. Degree of wear is a function of maintenance and abrasion. Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. cannot be responsible for failures resulting from tiles being installed in areas where they are not suitable.
All packing information stated in the current price list is subject to change without notice.
The buyer is responsible for inspecting and accepting materials before it leaves Tierra Sol's warehouse, as well as with the final customer before it is installed. No claim will be accepted for damaged material once it has left our warehouse. Method of installation and site conditions are beyond our control and no claim will be accepted for chipping, crazing, spalling, etching, cracking, discolouration, or loosening from the setting bed. If our products are unsatisfactory for any reason, we must be notified before installation. No allowance will be made for labour costs or any other charges after materials have been installed.
Certain "Builder Grade" floor tiles, particularly non-rectified tiles, are supplied in accordance with the quality controls to which they are produced. Tierra Sol will accept claims for side length variation greater than 1mm, measured on the face of the tile, or if the tile is out of square. In such a case, return of the tile will be accepted without restocking charge. The installer retains responsibility to accept quality prior to installation. Tierra Sol will not accept complaints for tile already installed nor for any related labour charges.
Holding Material
Stock may be put on hold for 72 hours only, after which it will return to inventory for sale.
Exclusion
These terms and conditions constitute the sole and entire agreement between Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile Ltd. and the buyer.
